Guess where I landed?

  1. That's JFK airport, right after we landed, in rainy New York City. SheWMBO (great abbrev, Corey) has been in rare form this week. She surprised us all by planning a getaway to cover the kid's week off before starting their summer school, and Father's day. And this is it. Wow.

  3. Good for you all. popped up there to see the House that Ruth Built last year. Just a hit a run. Someday will try to do the shows and all the sights. Honestly I have a NYphobia, the mafia scares me, you can see me now, country rube, gawking at the tall builds and all. So is it culture shock, west coast to east coast?

  4. H n L: it's not so much a culture shock for us as one of turning up the volume. Being in Times Square reminds me of L.A.'s downtown Music Center area, but on steroids (with its bustle of theaters, traffic, and people). I recall during the 70's, that darn decade again, I was NY-phobic, too. Likely, due to all the crime movies I saw ;-). But so far, it's been pretty cool. I think you two would enjoy doing the sightseeing scene, here. Thanks for your comment.
