The 'Fidel Castro' of Parties

As she eyed her nine year-old out of the corner of her periphery, the mother spoke. "Your daughter really did it this time."

Dad just closed his eyes. "What happened now?", he said as he opened them and scanned the room for her

"Remember that party invitation from the other day--the one for the first day of her Spring Break?", said mom.

"Yes."

"Not real", said mom while her daughter brushed her naturally curly hair.

This post has been updated and moved to my current blog, which can be found here.

  1. I have the same reaction, Michael. That was ballsy as hell. And I can't help laughing. Only nine? Oh, you are in so much trouble... Wait until they are 13, 14.

  2. Yes, given my daughter's sharp mind, I can envision her making great contributions to science or medicine. Or, becoming a diabolical, evil genius. Hopefully, whichever version matures, I sure hope she treats her elderly parents well ;-).

  3. Probably depends on how much this sleepover meant to her.

  4. Oh my God! That is too funny. Your family is absolutely a stitch, Michael. I love it! You might want to consider an alarm on her bedroom window by the way! :)
