Normally, I would have been cheering for Pittsburgh, but 1) just couldn't cheer for any positive outcome for Roethlis-wanker and 2) Green Bay's due for a little Super Bowl love and proof that they don't need Favre.
I was glad that it wasn't a blowout. Those are boring and you can't even count on the ads to be entertaining anymore. Can't remember who tweeted it, but someone compared the half-time show to TRON. heh.
Thanks for the fun flashback song! I need to see if I've got it in my iTunes library.
Awesome! And great links! Actually, at first I wondered if you had some sort of secret link to my husband's brain as he was "pretty-prescient" and his name is Jeff. I clicked over and was relieved to see he wasn't the only Jeff to call the Packers and Rodgers as the MVP. ;)
Also, this "and on that glorious day that we give Rothelsberger his 18th concussion the one that finally makes him impotent" is so freaking awesome, thanks again for the links.
It was a great game. Glad the Packers won...couldn't even think of rooting for the Steelers and slimey Ben. Wished the Fabulous Thunderbirds had done the half time show!
Glad you enjoyed the game and the links, Rachel. Good to know that football fans named Jeff have some great insights (next time I'll talk to them first so I can get something down for the game :) ). Thanks, Rachel.
It is awful sweet isn't it.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nailbiter of a last half wasn't it though?
I think Kurt Warner's words about Ben R. never having carried a team were dead on target. And I'm so glad.
ReplyDeletetaking the lead and keeping it was key, love the Packers, and they were tuff enuff
ReplyDeletefor sure

Sure was. Turned out to be one of the better Super Bowls. Thanks, Bryce.
ReplyDeleteWe're in agreement. Thanks, Naomi.
ReplyDeleteGot that right. The Packers brought the fight to The Steelers right from the kick-off. Thanks, Herb.
ReplyDelete"... just couldn't cheer for any positive outcome for Roethlis-wanker"
ReplyDeleteThat was priceless, Christine! BTW, my wife and I saw The Fabulous Thunderbirds perform this song live at the Playboy Jazz Festival back in '89.
Thanks.

ReplyDeleteI like your idea for a future half-time show, Bev! Thanks.
