Today my oldest turned 15. For me, nothing is more divinely sobering than that sentence. Since I'm prohibited (by she-who-must-be-obeyed) from posting any likeness of said beautiful boy (no matter his age, he'll forever be that to his old man) on the internet, I'll celebrate it with this:
Since John Lennon would also have turned 70 today, I couldn't think of anything more appropriate.
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."
Michael -- this is unreal. Today is my son's birthday as well! He's four today.
This day, then, is another connection between us. Tell your beautiful boy I hope he had a great day. (And by the way, my wife won't let me post pictures of our son, either!).
Thank you, Colonel. I will pass this on to my teen. Sent from my iPhone On Oct 9, 2010, at 7:02 PM, "Echo"<js-kit-m2c-s1a1ont791uoo0kfsa7gpaabldbkv5na1qpohu3nbuk8ujclqu20> wrote: </js-kit-m2c-s1a1ont791uoo0kfsa7gpaabldbkv5na1qpohu3nbuk8ujclqu20>

That is quite something, John! Wow. Please give my belated best birthday wishes to that special four year old of yours. And I'll pass along to my son that he's part of an extraordinary triumvirate :-). P.s., our spouses keep us sane, don't they ;-) Sent from my iPhone On Oct 9, 2010, at 7:52 PM, "Echo"<js-kit-m2c-s1a1ont791uoo0kfsa7gpaabldsocd2mmk3lk8igdml9odbfh4q0> wrote: </js-kit-m2c-s1a1ont791uoo0kfsa7gpaabldsocd2mmk3lk8igdml9odbfh4q0>
My wife's original due date for him was the 13th. Sharing this with John Lennon couldn't be better. Wait until next month for my fierce one (and who she shares a date with).
I knew it! You probably cranked up the Walkman, aimed it at Mama Le0's belly and said, "Hear that, son? You gotta come out NOW so you can share this man's birthday!"
I got confused, thought next month is December, which made me think, "Your fierce one shares a birthday with Jesus??" But it's only November so I'll have to wait to see the correct answer.
Happy birthday son-of-Leopard. Lennon's a wonderful person to share a birthday with too.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to the young'un. You couldn't have paid him any finer tribute.
ReplyDeleteShe Who Must Be Obeyed sounds an awful lot like The One To Be Pitied. HA! She sounds like a great mom. HB to Leopard13 jr.!

Happy belated birthday to baby Le0! Or, rather, teenage Le0. They grow up so fast, don't they?
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing person for him to share a birthday with. Considering how much you like Lennon's music, are you sure you didn't plan it that way?
They sure do. =-O

Thanks, Elyse.

Happy Birthday to your son and John Lennon. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one! Yes, next month it will be revealed ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
ReplyDeleteHope the beautiful boy enjoyed his birthday celebration! Not too long now and it'll be time for the driving permit.
ReplyDeleteBTW, my claim to birthday-sharing fame is with John's mate, Paul McCartney. :-D
The harder sell was trying to convince Lady Le0pard to do jumping jacks to the music.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! PCN, we must be operating on the same calendar, because I thought the same thing!!
:-P
That is very cool you share a birthday with Macca! My teen had a great birthday. I'll pass along your regards, Christine. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou two are too much ;) .
ReplyDeleteThanks.
